Mentoring for serious Indian students

Study in Europe with research-focused guidance

I work with motivated Indian students who want to build strong academic profiles and apply for funded Masters, PhD and Postdoc positions in Europe – especially in STEM, applied sciences, engineering and computer science.

About

Who I Am

Research experience at Harvard University (USA), TU Madrid (Spain) and University of Lübeck (Germany); recipient of the Erasmus Mundus PhD fellowship and the Margarita Salas postdoctoral fellowship, working at the intersection of computer science, medical image processing, robotic surgery and biomedical engineering.

I am a researcher working at the intersection of computer science, medical image processing, robotic surgery and biomedical engineering. I completed my PhD with an Erasmus Mundus scholarship at the Technical University of Madrid and conducted part of my doctoral work at the University of Lübeck in Germany. After that, I received the Margarita Salas postdoctoral fellowship and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School, Harvard University, USA. Before my PhD I worked as a researcher at the Indian Statistical Institute and IIM Calcutta.

Now I mentor serious Indian students who want to build strong academic profiles and apply for funded opportunities (Masters, PhD and Postdoc) in Europe, especially in STEM, applied sciences, engineering, computer science and related fields.

Who I usually work with

  • Final-year B.Tech / B.Sc. students
  • Recent graduates in STEM
  • Master’s students planning a PhD
  • Industry engineers wanting research
  • Researchers targeting EU PhD/Postdocs

If you are looking for shortcuts or fake promises, I am not the right mentor. I believe that consistent hard work and honest presentation of your profile are the real keys to getting admission to a good university for your Master's and to working with a good supervisor for your PhD/Postdoc. If you are ready to work seriously and listen to clear feedback, we may be a good match. Every year I work with around 10 students only.

Entry Point: Basic – Information & Profile Evaluation

Start here

Basic – Information & Profile Evaluation

Short, focused online session to understand how Europe works for your profile and whether you should apply now or first improve.

  • Target: Masters & PhD aspirants
  • Format: 30–40 min online call
  • Fee: ₹2,000

In this 30–40 minute online session we:

  • Review your current profile (degree, CGPA, projects, research, tests, budget and timeline).
  • Explain how admissions and funding work in Europe for your field in clear, practical language.
  • Give an honest view of your chances in the short term (next 1–2 intakes).
  • Outline what you should strengthen before or during applications.

Outcome: You will leave this session with a realistic picture of whether you should start applying now or first improve your profile. If I feel I can add real value, I will suggest a suitable 1:1 package. If not, I will still give you concrete steps and a rough timeline so that you do not waste money and energy on random applications.

Fee for this session: ₹2,000

This is my basic consultancy fee and the entry point to all further one-to-one work.

Packages (after Basic evaluation)

These packages are for students whose profiles I have already evaluated and who are a good fit for structured one-to-one work. On this page you see only the key points – click “See details” on any card to read the full scope and outcome.

Masters

Starter – Application Essentials

For Masters applicants who want strong, well-structured application documents but do not need full end-to-end hand-holding.

  • Profile & target programme guidance
  • Europe-ready CV
  • 1 main SoP / motivation letter
  • 1 LOR draft framework
  • Review of 2 application forms

This package is for students who already have a basic idea about studying in Europe, but want expert help to present their profile clearly and professionally to admissions committees. If you have already taken the Basic – Information & Profile Evaluation session, we build directly on that assessment. If not, a shorter profile check is included here.

We refine your profile and target programme list, prepare a clear Europe-friendly CV, one strong Statement of Purpose / Motivation Letter, and a Letter of Recommendation draft framework for your professor/employer. I also review two application forms for common mistakes and clarity.

Outcome: You will have a clean, convincing CV, SoP and LOR draft that reflect your real profile and are suitable for European universities, plus two applications checked before submission. You still control where you apply and how many universities you choose, but you avoid trial-and-error basic documents.

Fee: ₹12,000

Masters · Funding

Scholarship Focus – Europe with Funding

For applicants who seriously want to target tuition waivers and competitive scholarships (Erasmus, DAAD and other funding schemes).

  • Scholarship-oriented profile strategy
  • Academic CV for funding calls
  • 1 programme SoP + 1 scholarship essay
  • 2 LOR draft frameworks
  • Guidance on 5–7 programmes/scholarships
  • Review of 3 application forms

This package is for applicants who are not only interested in admission, but also in maximising their chances of partial or full funding. We look at your profile from a scholarship evaluator’s point of view – academic record, projects, research, motivation and constraints – and shape your documents and strategy accordingly. It works best if you have already completed the Basic – Information & Profile Evaluation session.

We develop an academic CV tailored for scholarships and research-oriented programmes, one main Statement of Purpose for your programme, and one dedicated scholarship essay / personal statement (for Erasmus, DAAD or similar calls). We also prepare two LOR draft frameworks, discuss email strategy (if relevant), and shortlist 5–7 realistic programmes/scholarships with timelines. I review up to three application forms before submission.

Outcome: You will have a scholarship-focused CV, SoP, essay and LORs that present a consistent story of who you are and why you deserve funding, plus a clear shortlist of realistic programmes. You still make your own applications, but you no longer guess what scholarships look for – you apply with a coherent, well-prepared funding strategy instead of random trial applications.

Fee: ₹25,000

PhD · Postdoc

Research Track – PhD / Postdoc in Europe

For serious applicants aiming for funded PhD or Postdoctoral research positions and a long-term research career in Europe.

  • In-depth research profile evaluation
  • Research-focused CV
  • 10–15 target supervisors/programmes
  • 1 full research proposal (with revisions)
  • 2 research SoPs
  • Email strategy + feedback on emails
  • Review of up to 5 application forms

This package is designed for students and early-career researchers who want to build or continue a research career, not just “do a course abroad”. We look at your work from a supervisor’s point of view – research focus, publications, projects, technical skills and long-term goals – and build a coherent profile, proposal and outreach strategy. It works best if you have already completed the Basic – Information & Profile Evaluation session.

We carry out an in-depth research profile evaluation, prepare a research-focused CV, and compile a list of around 10–15 relevant supervisors/programmes with links and brief notes. Together we develop one full research proposal or project statement with 2–3 rounds of revision, and two research Statements of Purpose (for example, one generic and one targeted to a specific call). I also provide email templates and feedback on up to five real email drafts to potential supervisors, and review up to five application forms before submission.

Outcome: You will have a focused research narrative, a complete and realistic proposal, a supervisor/programme shortlist and a clear outreach and application plan. You will not be sending random emails with vague topics; instead, you will contact supervisors and submit applications with a structured, well-argued proposal and documents that present you as a serious, honest and prepared researcher.

Fee: ₹55,000

Document Review – Add-on Options

These lighter packages focus only on improving specific documents. They are usually taken after the Basic session or along with a larger package, so that your overall direction is clear.

CV · Research profile

CV Deep Review – Research CV for Europe

For Masters / PhD / Postdoc applicants who already have a CV draft and want a clear, Europe-ready academic CV that highlights research experience and skills.

  • 1 research CV (up to 3 pages)
  • Line-by-line comments and restructuring
  • 1 rewritten version in my suggested format
  • Up to 2 revision rounds

This package is for students who already have a CV and basic clarity about their direction, but the document is cluttered, too long, or not suitable for European applications.

I review your CV line by line, remove unnecessary information, reorganise sections, and highlight your research experience, skills and outputs. You receive:

  • Tracked-changes comments on your original CV.
  • A restructured, clean CV in my suggested format.
  • Up to two rounds of revision within an agreed time window.

Outcome: A focused, well-organised research CV that clearly communicates your profile to admissions committees and supervisors in Europe, without exaggeration or fake claims.

This package does not include university or scholarship selection, or application strategy. For that, please see the Starter, Scholarship Focus or Research Track packages.

Fee: ₹4,000

SoP · Motivation Letter

Statement Review – SoP / Motivation Letter

For Masters / PhD applicants who already have a draft SoP or motivation letter and want critical feedback and a stronger narrative for one programme or call.

  • 1 SoP / motivation letter (up to 1,000 words)
  • Detailed comments + tracked edits
  • 1 rewritten version based on your information
  • 2 revision rounds + final check

This package is for students who have already written a draft Statement of Purpose or Motivation Letter and need deep feedback rather than just grammar correction.

I analyse your draft for structure, clarity, honesty and fit with the programme. You receive:

  • Detailed comments on what is working and what is confusing or repetitive.
  • Tracked-changes edits for language, flow and clarity.
  • One rewritten version where I reorganise content into a strong narrative using your information.
  • Up to two revision rounds plus a final pre-submission check.

Outcome: You keep your own voice and story, but the statement becomes cleaner, more focused and more convincing for a European admissions committee or supervisor.

This package covers one programme or call. If you need different versions for multiple universities or scholarships, we can discuss an upgrade to a larger package.

Fee: ₹6,000
